The Sixers Youth Foundation continues to surpass expectations raising $1.9 million with its annual gala

On January 17, 2024, the Sixers Youth Foundation welcomed over 1,000 guests to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, PA.

The event featured a silent auction and a live auction, the Sport Court, the SNIPES Sneaker Art, and energetic performances from Bow Wow and the Ying Yang Twins. Sixers players, alumni, coaches, and ownership were all in attendance to celebrate.

Thanks to sponsors and individual donors the Foundation raised a record-setting amount of $1.9 million for the youth of Philadelphia, Camden, and the greater Delaware Valley region.

“It is truly awe-inspiring, the support we are seeing again this year with gala. We are beyond appreciative of the generosity people are sharing with us. This magnitude of giving will further our ability to partner with amazing organizations serving middle-school age youth,” shared Leslie Walker, Executive Director of the Foundation.

The unwavering commitment from the Foundation’s Board of Directors and the support of the Philadelphia 76ers staff make such successes possible for the Foundation as well.

“The Board of Directors and Sixers staff make important contributions to ensuring this event comes together each year. It’s a significant support that does not go overlooked,” Walker expressed.

The Sixers Youth Foundation is already planning for next year’s gala as it will also be the 10th anniversary of the Foundation.
